Chapter synopsis: Up to date, scientific and practical experience of adopting CA systems and practices in Central Asia has been limited compared to other regions of the world. There is limited reliable data on CA adoption and spread and the uptake process except for Kazakhstan. The purpose of this chapter is to contribute to filling these knowledge gaps by discussing present trends and future prospects for CA in the region.
