Chapter synopsis: Urban forestry, defined as the planning and management of trees and associated vegetation in urban areas, has become well established across the globe. The chapter introduces the concepts of urban food forestry and urban foraging, presenting detailed case studies for each one. Finally, the chapter looks ahead to future research trends in this area.
